Simple Stories – Simple Vintage – Vintage Seas | Part 2 | Amy Kattenbelt

Hello, Amy back on the blog today to share another 12×12 scrapbook layout that used Simple Stories – Simple Vintage – Vintage Seas collection. This is a red, white and blue (both royal blue and aqua) nautical themed collection. Its perfect for any coastal, sea or beach themed photos.

I started this layout by using the stencil that comes in the collection, a cool wave design, and some distress oxide in the new Unchartered Mariner colour.

On top of this mixed media background I layered some papers from the 6×8 paper pad. I used a navy blue map design and the red and white striped paper.

I used one of the 3×4 cut apart cards from the 3×4 Elements Paper. I layered this and my photo on top of more papers from the 6×8 paper pad too.

I then had great fun creating clusters of embellishments with the die cuts from the Nautical Bits and Pieces pack and the Bits and Pieces pack. I used foam dots to raise a few of the pieces up to give more dimension.

I added a Hey Little Magpie flair to the top right of my paper block, inside one of the die cuts. This flair set contains 5 flair that have been especially designed to co-ordinate with the Vintage Seas collection.

Next I added some white 3DJD Print actyrlic shapes. I added 3 seagulls from the new A Flock of Seagulls pack, and an anchor from the Life On The Ocean Wave set.

I finished the layout off with some enamel dots from the Vintage Seas collection and a fine splattering of black ink.
