Simple Stories | Simple Vintage Rustic Christmas | Giselle Homer
Hello again Magpies,
Today I’m sharing two layouts made with Simple Vintage Rustic Christmas from Simple Stories. What a fun collection this is & perfect if you want to scrapbook your Christmas festivities but are short of time. There are so many elements to this collection that you will be spoilt for choice – I was!
I began this layout by trimming & distressing a 12″ x 12″ piece of white cardstock & gluing it to the holly patterned paper. I also drew a wiggly border with a grey marker pen.
Then I stencilled a sunburst shape in the middle of the paper with green ink.
The cutfile was backfilled with a pale green paper & placed it over the middle of the stencil. Then I placed a long sticker at the top, enhancing it with some sequins & a few paint splatters.
I distressed the edges of the photo, added one layer of patterned paper behind it & placed it in the gap below the cutfile.
I chose two robins to place below the title, one is a foam sticker & the other is a die cut from the ephemera pack. I chose 3 puffy phrase stickers from Rosie’s Studio to go between them.
I began this second layout by stencilling a winter foliage pattern to half a sheet of white cardstock, using a mix of greens & some red as well. I glued this in place at the bottom of the page along with a small strip of patterned paper for contrast.
There are some gorgeous chipboard frames in this collection & I chose a double for my two photos. The Santa Clause in the centre is part of the design, as is the red banner & I love how these frames enhance photos with all their little details! I added 2 fir tree die cuts to the right of the frame.
Then it was simply a case of adding lots of ephemera below the photo, plus the title which is from the foam sticker pack.
I hope these layouts have given you some ideas to quickly scrapbook your Christmas memories. I’ll be here again later in the month with a couple more.
Until then, happy scrapping everyone!
