Simple Stories | Simple Vintage Lemon Twist Part 2 | Giselle Homer
Hello Magpies,
Today I’m sharing 2 more layouts using Simple Stories ‘Simple Vintage Lemon Twist’. I’ve enjoyed using some larger pieces of ephemera that are included in this collection, something I don’t usually do. But I’m pleased with how they work well with my photos.
Rosie

I began this layout of my dog with some stencilling & a light splattering of gold paint.

Then I added my photo to one of the chipboard double frames & put some die cut elements in the other one. As this frame has a lovely cluster of flowers on the left I didn’t have to add much on that side.

However, I wanted to create a lightly defined triangle, so I placed some ephemera to the right & layered some more towards the lower point of the triangle. There’s so much to choose from in the packs of ephemera & stickers that I was spoilt for choice!

Using an alphabet from my stash I added the title that filled a little gap on the left side.

My second layout is quite a simple design, made up mostly from one of the large chipboard banners included in the collection. If you’re in a hurry these are invaluable additions to your layouts!

I used some yellow & blue watercolours paints to lightly colour an area across the middle of the background cardstock.

The designs on these banners are lovely, with their clusters of ephemera & they really help to easily design a layout.

I removed the sentiments from the 2 frames on the banner & replaced them with illustrations that I fussy cut from the papers.

Then, all I had to do was to add the title which I found in my stash & add my journalling to call it finished!

That’s all from me this month but I’ll be back at the beginning of October with 2 more layouts to share.
Until then, happy scrapbooking everyone!
