Hello Magpies,

Here’s my second layout this month using Simple Stories ‘Simple Vintage Fresh Snow’. As you can imagine it does what it says on the tin, it’s just winter captured in one lovely collection!

 

HELLO WINTER

 

I began my layout by cutting a piece of woodgrain paper that would fit my 3 photos, plus 3 equally sized spaces for elements, in a simple grid design. The photos are approximately 2.75″ square including the white border & I glued them into place as shown.

 

I used die cuts, phrases, stickers, foam stickers & fussy cut pieces to embellish the photos.

 

With this collection I also used Hey Little Magpie’s first Embellishment Kit, which is winter themed. It included canvass flairs, waxed threads & some beautiful metal snowflakes. I used these along with other ephemera from the collection to embellish the 3 square spaces.

 

For the square on the lower right I used a large die cut that included an appropriate title. I placed a length of bobble trim along the lower edge, this was also in the Embellishment Kit & I liked how it added a finishing touch to the layout.

 

Later in the month I’ll have another wintery layout to share. Until then, happy scrapping everyone!
