Hello Magpies,

I’m back to share 2  more layouts using this lovely seasonal collection from Simple Stories. I can’t emphasise enough how easily all these layouts came together, the embellishments are so well designed, you can just pop them on your page & get great results every time!

Cozy Days

For this layout I started by stencilling some of the background with yellow & orange inks, concentrating on making a roughly circular shape.

 

Then I added a few splatters using olive green paint.

 

I tore a 12″ strip of plaid paper & glued to the top of the background.

 

I chose a chipboard banner to fit centrally over the join between the patterned paper & the cream background. As the banners in this collection are so well embellished, I only had to add a few stickers to extend it to the length I wanted. I also added the apple & the pumpkin stickers in one of the frames on the banner. I placed the photo in among these embellishments.

 

To finish the layout I chose a phrase sticker & placed it below the photo at the left corner. I added a few more stickers, some perspex leaves from my own stash & drew a double border around the background.

 

 

 

Autumn is in the Air

 

 

To begin the second layout I cut a large polaroid style photo frame using the orange plaid paper, distressed the inner edges & glued it onto a cream background. I splattered a little paint on the cream cardstock too.

 

I chose a chipboard frame to fit my photo & placed it in the centre of the page. I think the chipboard banners & frames in this collection are my favourites!

 

 

I placed embellishments & some fussy cut leaves along the lower part of the layout, adding some puffy sticker pumpkins too for added texture.

 

To finish I added a phrase sticker for the title which slotted in well with the rest of the embellishments!

In fact all the ‘Vintage’ collections are all based around the same content & design, so I will definitely be using more!
