Simple Stories Say Cheese Christmas | Niki Rowland
Hi everyone, this is Niki back with two more layouts using the fabulous Say Cheese Christmas Collection (yep, still doing Christmas!!)
I have already made two layouts using this collection and some cut files which you can see on my previous blog post. had the 12×12 papers, Combo Stickers, Bits & Pieces Die Cuts and the Chipboard Stickers to use.
For my first layout today I had photos to scrap from the Disney movie ‘Up’. For anyone that hasn’t seen Up, it’s about a man who ties loads of balloons to the top of his house so that it can float away to different locations. So as soon as I saw the ‘Happy Place’ paper with loads of balloons on it, I just knew I had to fussy cut those and create a floating house scene!
I made a template for the house and paper pieced it together. It was here that I put my photos so I planned the size of the house around my photos. I then fussy cut out loads and loads of balloons to add to the top. I also punched some clouds and stuck them onto the background and I stitched around these.
I decorated the house with lots of Say Cheese Christmas embellishments and some cute little christmas lights a friend gave me. I added a title using Thickers from my stash.
For my second layout ‘Merry Kingdom’ I used a large piece of that fabulous green patterned paper.
I added green pom pom trim and some candy stripe paper edges too. I then added my photo and created a large embellishment cluster horizontally across the page.
I love those half-mouse shaped stickers – I put one either side of my main block of patterned paper. I used stickers, chipboard and ephemera to add lots of details to this layout.
I finished off with a title made up of a chipboard word and Thickers from my stash. I added some thread twiddles, sequins and handwrote in my journaling.
Thanks so much for joining me today, I hope you have enjoyed these two layouts using Simple Stories, Say Cheese Christmas
Happy scrapping
Niki xx
