Simple Stories – Say Cheese : At The Park | Jackie Ashton

Hi Magpies, Jackie here sharing two more layouts using Simple Stories – Say Cheese – At the Park Collection.  I used the collection pack and embellishment in this range.

For my first layout I used the large chipboard phase ‘magical’ as my title.

After matting my two photographs with patterned papers from the 6×8 pad, and positioning them over my cardstock I wanted to add some colour behind.  So using the packaging technique I added some Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mustard Seed.

I cut the red strip patterned paper at an angel and added to the bottom of my white cardstock.  Adding a border punch to the top edge, using the yellow patterned paper from the collection, which is called Meet Me on Main, which is appropriate as that where the photographs were taken at Magic Kingdom.

To give my page some extra texture,  I added handstitched along the top edge of the patterned paper.

I added the chipboard phase, and added various stickers, puffy stickers around my page.

You will notice that both these pages  I’ve added a purple Mickey head gem, this is a reference to the 50th Disney celebration.

Totally Breathtaking

I started my pages with  an A4 photograph, which I added to the left side of my white cardstock, but before I completely struck it down I added some stencil detail to the right hand side of the photograph.

As the photograph was the main focus of my layout, I kept the embellishments to a minimum, and only added a cluster to the bottom right with a bit of journaling and a small cluster to the top right.

For the title I used JD3D print.

Don’t forget to upload to our Facebook group, we would love to see what you are creating.

Till next time

Happy scrapping
