Simple Stories Pack Your Bags – Amy Kattenbelt

Hello Magpies. Amy here sharing not one but two newly created layouts with you today. This month I’ve been playing with Simple Stories new travel collection called Pack Your Bags. It’s a bright and colourful collection full of all the travel themed ephemera you could wish for. There are also some hearts and flowers too.

For this layout I was inspired by the city tour bus die cut. I knew it would go perfectly with some photos of my family on a Liverpool bus tour taken last summer.

I used the red patterned paper along the left hand side because I thought the colour would match the red bus. I added lots of other stickers and also a circular web die cut that I created using a new and exclusive HLM dies.

I fussy cut lots of the little tags from one of the patterned papers and layered them along the left hand side in a vertical line too. Amongst them I also added some of the smaller travel themed stickers.

I used one of the new HLM border dies with a blue patterned paper to create a stripe running horizontally and places my photos and title around this.

I finished the layout with some clusters of enamel dots.

As a bonus layout I also created this layout which started with a yellow mixed media background. I layered up lots of frames and used little photos. For my title I used the large Travel With Me die cut and added some extra words with my favourite alphabet stickers. I also added some black splatters…can you spot which are real ink and which are card die cuts using the new and exclusive HLM dies?
