Simple Stories – Kissing Booth

Today I am sharing my second post using Simple Stories Kissing Booth range. For this post I wanted to use more of the patterned papers as there are lots of lovely patterns in the Kissing Booth range.

The inspiration for this page was this photo taken of my Daughter at a festival last year. The background behind her is so similar to these papers. To make the most of the patterned papers I chose my favourite 5 and added them to the lower 2/3rds of my white cardstock that way I feel that don’t overwhelm the page. I machine stitched them all down then around the cardstock too then added a strip to cover the tops of each paper to give it a finished look.

I used some of the 6×4 journalling cards to layer behind my photo and the playing card cut from the 3×4 journalling card paper. Then I used Kissing Booth die cuts, stickers and chipboard to embellish roundly photo before adding some torn wash tape behind my photo.

The star of this page is a dog a friend was looking after, I’d not describe myself as a doggy person but this little guy won over my heart!

For my next page I wanted to use a patterned paper as the background and this Kissing Booth – Love and Adore paper was   a great starting point. I started by adding Distress Oxides in complimentory colours across the centre of the paper using one colour at a time & letting it dry in between.

Using the patterned paper as inspiration I machine sewed 5 hearts in black thread onto white cardstock then cut each of them out before adding them across my page. I added a few layers behind my photo and slotted it inside the biggest sewn heart. I used tickets from the die cut pack to embellish them further. The title was from the sticker sheet & totally describes how I feel about this little fella x
