Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl Part 2 | Jo Boland

Hey, it’s Jo back with my second set of projects for the February using the fabulous Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl collection. (You can find my first blog post here.) I love this collection. It is full of crafty accents and a soft rainbow colour palette. This time round I’m going to share with you two scrapbook layouts.

‘My Room’

With the Hey Crafty Girl collection I naturally had to document my craft room! I love that they included a turquoise Raskog trolley and a turquoise typewriter to match mine! I used the Crafty & Happy paper for my background, gutting the centre out of the sheet to be another time. Adding a piece of white cardstock trimmed down to 11 1/2″ square.

My photos are matted on to DIY Queen paper and a piece of Made with Love paper which I’ve punched along the top edge. I’ve embellished the page with various chipboard stickers, cardstock stickers and die-cuts from the Bits & Pieces pack and the Journal Bits & Pieces pack. I popped up several pieces to add dimension to the page.

The title thickers are old Pebbles ones from my stash and the little puffy letter stickers are from Pinkfresh Studio Joyful Day collection.

Create a Colourful Home

My second scrapbook layout again features the Crafty & Happy paper, my fave. I ripped a strip off and placed it along the bottom of a piece of white cardstock.

I used several Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays and splattered them across the cardstock in colours matching the collection.

Once dry I matted the photo on DIY Queen paper and clustered chipboard stickers and die-cut pieces around it.

The title is made up from a chipboard piece, little Pinkfresh puffy letter stickers and a black foam word from the Cocoa Vanilla Unforgettable collection.

Oh and I added a chipboard girl on the layout, but I coloured her hair brown to match my own.
