Simple Stories – Hello Today | Jackie Ashton
Hi Crafters, Jackie here with 2 layouts using the lovely Simple Stories – Hello Today collection. This collection is so bright and colourful especially to use this time of the year. It is also an ideal collection for pocket page documenting throughout the year, as each sheet of patterned paper is themed for each month of the year.
For my first layout, I used the fab Simple Stories – Hello Today – Stencil – don’t you just love arrows, and what a great stencil to add to your collection.
So I choose a few ink pads in the softer colours of this collection, and using a small section of the stencil I added coloured details across the middle of my cardstock.
Then I added two strips of patterned paper across the centre of the cardstock, and tearing the bottom edge of each paper, to give it some added texture.
I used the Simple Stories – Hello Today 6×8 pad to added patterned papers behind each of my photographs . After adding my photographs to my layout I added embelishments around them.
Using chipboard, sticker books, foam sticker sheet, 12×12 sticker sheet, brads.
For my title I used a word from the Simple Stories – Hello Today – Foam Sticker sheet.
For my 2nd layout, I used July paper and torn the bottom edge, to add some texture.
Then using a frame from Simple Stories – Hello Today – Chipboard Frames, I overlaid it over my photograph and added some 3D foam to add some dimension. Then add two different pieces of paper underneat
I added various embellishments from this collection around my photograph from bits and pieces, chipboard, sticker book, brads, 12×12 sticker sheet.
For the title I used a word from Foam Sticker sheet, and added some puffy alphabet stickers fromElle’s Studio.
I’ve loved using this collection this month, and love the colours and all the extras that come with it.
Don’t forget to upload your projects you are working on over in our Facebook Group, we would love to see them.
Till next time
Happy Scrapping x
