Simple Pages with Simple Life
Hello Everyone and welcome to my March blogpost, and also to the meteorological start of Spring. I hope you are looking forward to some lighter evening and the start of some love spring days to document.
This month I am picking up documenting of my trip to Scotland, it was this time last year I was on my trip their so its really time that I need to document it before the memories fade completely I am a great lover of this the new Pebbles Jen Hadfield Simple Life collection
The first pages I want to share is something a little different for me, as it is a double page, this is really not something I do much, and with working with the 9×12 page size, it made a great canvas size.
I also used my Silhouette Cameo again this month to cut a number of shapes and images, I chose to use a large wood slice cut on this page, I overlapped it over the two pages. This image helped to link the two pages, I also used the fuzzy cut flowers from the Growing Floral paper, to carry over the two pages too.
The die cut pack featured a cow so it worked brilliantly with my photos, the woodgrain effect Thickers also helped to bring all the element together on the page.
You can see the process video for this page over on my YouTube channel. I have a playlist of all of my Hey Little Magpie pages to make it easy for you to view.
For my second page to share with you it is using one of the more busy background from the collection, the teal of this collection is something I think is going to feature in the album more and more.
I again used element I have die cut on my Cameo, I used my Heidi Swapp Colour Shine to add sparkle to these and added die cuts from the collection too.
For the finial page I am sharing with you from this collection is more of a page using a technique I have used a lot in the past. I have use my mists and stencils over a background paper before layering over the top of it.
The die cut pack from the collection, had some great pieces on a food theme, and I knew the photo of my Dundee cake in Dundee would be perfect.
This collection also has some puffy stickers which I used within my layers. These add a great dimension to the layout too.
I really like the tones in this collection and the orange and teals that come through in contrast to the dark wood grains and other prints.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing the pages that I have made this month and all the beautiful elements of the Jen Hadfield Simple Life Collection. Have a brilliant month.
