Sheena's How to 2 for Travellers Notebooks

Hi there Magpies, Sheena here again x
Today I am sharing with you my second post on How I created a Travellers Notebook. I have used my Travellers Notebook to document a trip to Berlin last year.  These little books are really useful for lots of creative projects and this is just one way they can be used.
If you missed part 1 it can be found here.
Day 3.

I carried on the same format for the remaining days of our trip, with a stamped date and wash tape, pockets for leaflets, cut titles from brochures and ticket stubs etc all from my paper haul from Berlin.  I want the pages to flow and be enjoyable to look at whilst remembering to keep all embellishments as flat as possible so have used stickers and patterned paper to embellish.
Day 4.

When documenting its hard to know what to leave out but I think I’ve managed to include everything I want and still get this Travellers Notebook to close! I did have to photocopy a beer mat which was just too thick to include!
Day 5

For my photographs I use 2 methods. I have a small Prynt machine from which I can print photo stickers straight from my phone which is great  as they are instant and means I can keep on recording our memories but they aren’t the best quality but I’m ok with that.
I also use an app on my phone – Pic Frame. There are a number of similar apps available to make photo colleges from your phone. Due to the shape of Travellers Notebooks this is the college I tend to use most as I usually have lots of photos and this way I can squeeze 6 in to the book.
To make it easier for myself, when choosing the photos for a college I tend to screen shot my favourites to bring them to the end of my camera roll rather than hunting through all my photos for the ones I want, to drop them in to the college. Once the college is made I print it on my Canon Selpy then delete all the screen shots from my cameral roll.
Its worth playing around with these apps to understand how they work and what options they offer you.

Here it is my finished Berlin Travellers Notebook. I honestly don’t think I could have fitted anything else into it but it is a great reminder of a fun trip. Do you remember the keyring I purchased, they now have pride of place on the spine.

My travellers notebooks so far. I love how I can see at a glance which book is which.

Till next time x
