Seaside Memories using exclusive dies | Julie Taylor

Hello Magpies

Julie back with you again today sharing another layout made using some of the Hey Little Magpie exclusive dies & stamps. I just love using dies & stamps, it gives extra personality to your pages & once brought they are tools you’ll use for life & give you extra embellishments in every colour you choose.

For this layout I’ve used 49 and market Summer Porch as it’s about my daughter going crabbing, for the first time, & that collection contains some very realistic looking crabs!!!!

I first cut an 8″ circle out of paper from the 12×12 page kit, distressed the edges & sewed some messy machine stitching around the edge.

I drew an 8.5″ circle on some white cardstock & using the Hey Little Magpie Large James Alphabet (outline) I stamped ‘today’ lots of times, across the page, using various oxide inks in all different blues. I spritz with a bit of water to help the ink ‘bleed’ & once dry added text stamping, over the top, using the scrip background stamps in a soft grey ink.

Out of the 6×8 paper pad I die cut 6 shapes using the notebook paper die & added under the top of the circle. Once they were adhered I added the paper to the stamped cardstock.

I then made up my large cluster using 2 photos, lots of embellishment pieces, rub ons & another die cut piece, this time a filmstrip frame, placing it vertically to ground my photos.

I added a small cluster top left to balance the layout & draw your eye up.

If you never use stamps or dies, on your pages, just pop on over to the store & check out all the lovely products in there, you’ll have them forever & really add that extra something to your page!!!

Thanks for joining me.

Until next time,
