Scrapping a Day at Disney

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all having a good August, whether it be having a summer holiday or enjoying the great British weather.
This month I decided to tackle part of a project that I have been putting off doing.  For those of you who regularly read my blog posts, you know I have been working on my 2015 USA trip album for a while, and I am making progress on it slowly but surely. I have been trying to tackle it in events of the trip to ensure that I capture all the stories from that part of the trip.  I felt it was time to tackle the Disneyland Park day, be warned this is a photo heavy post.
I had over 100 photos from this day, so I wanted to get them all scrapped, so decided I was going to tackle it using common themes on all the pages.  You will have seen in blog post before when I am tackling I am project I work in stages, the first stage for this was choosing the papers.  I went with Simple Stories Say Cheese III, I had a couple of bits from the previous two collections in my stash which I added to my pile of goodies.
I started off by using my Silhouette Cameo to cut out some themed embellishments and them fussy cut some of the papers.  I took some time to add some stitched detail to these parts, before I even started to make my pages, to add some extra detail.
I then grouped my photos in to different events in the park, the two parades, general park shots, and photos of us as a group.
I knew that I wanted to do some double pages in order to add more photos for each event, I ended up make 3 double pages.
I used cardstock for my background and added my pattern papers and embellishments on top, this really helped to spread my stash for this project.
I explain my process of making these pages and the others in this blog post in a two-part YouTube video on my channel.
The next set of pages I set about making were the single pages, I used photos on these that had a more singular story or ones that I wanted to show case.  I made 6 single layouts.
For the final photos, I used an assortment of pocket pages to showcase my photos.  I liked using the different styles and again stretched my stash of papers by using the cards and my embellishments in selected pockets.  I ended up with 5 pocket pages.

I did not use every single photo, and have a few I have saved of us as a group to tell other stories from the trip.  I am happy that I was able to tell all of the stories from this part of the trip, but more importantly showcase all the photos I wanted.
I hope that I have inspired you to tackle a project of event that you may have been avoiding.  Remember to visit the Chat and Inspiration Facebook group and share some of your pages scrapping Disney or other theme parks.
