Dandelion Wishes – Simple Stories – Crafty Things – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here sharing another Simple Stories Collection … Crafty Things. This collection is ideal for any crafty events or scrapbooking friends as it is full of crafty/ scrapbooking themed items. It has a beautiful pastel colour swatch. I went with some friends on a Scrapbooking retreat in Luxembourg so this collection was the perfect choice for my photos.

I decided I would create a wreath style layout so mapped out a rough circle to follow on the page. I then used a stencil with distress oxides which coordinated to the collection and stencilled around the circle. I matted the photo on two papers from the 6×8 paper pad and positioned it to the left of the circle. I distressed all the edges of the ephemera and then stared positioning it around the circle.

 

I created the title across the top of the photo using some mini thickers.

Finally I added some ephemera to the edge of the photo and then some gold splatters across the layout.

This layout came together quite quickly once i ahd decided what i was doin . I love the stencilled effect behind all the ephemera just giving some extra interest to the layout.
