Scrapbook Colourful Stripes To Document A Colourful Scene

Hey Magpies, with a combination of the colourful ‘Game Night’ collection from Simple Stories & a few chunky stripes I was able to create a layout bold enough to compliment the colours within my photo’s, documenting time spent at the arcade. I began by cutting strips of patterned paper between 2 & 3 inches thick placing them horizontally across the entire width of my page.

Then using ephemera from the ‘Bits & Pieces’ & ‘Journal Bits’ packs I began to embellish my page. I created three clusters, two either side of my photo’s (4×6 & 3×4) & one near the top left of my layout.

Top tip: when adhering your strips only use adhesive along the centre so that you are able to tuck pieces of ephemera underneath. My title ‘Family Fun Together’ came from three sources, ‘Family’ cut from a journal piece, ‘Fun’ an ephemera piece & ‘Together’ from the Cardstock Stickers.

To finish I added smaller embellishments from the same collection & a handful of sequins & gems. What colourful photo’s do you have to document? This ‘Game Night’ collection from Simple Stories may be just the thing you need.
