School Days with Seven Paper Darcy
Hey Magpies, Niki here with you today having a look at the Studio Calico Seven Paper ‘Darcy’ collection. This collection is super cute and is very loosly school themed. I rarely use themed papers but becuase these aren’t overly themed, and they were really cute, I thought I’d give them a go. My little girl has just started school and my little boy has just started a new pre-school so I had a few school stories to tell.
My first layout uses my favourite paper in the collection – I love those pencils! This was her first school photo so it had to be scrapped!
This layout is about her school coat – pink of course. I used the pink papers from the collection and picked out some gold acetate as an accent. I didn’t have any pink Thickers with me so I stitched the word ‘pink’ instead.
This layout tells the story of my little boy leaving his day nursery to begin at a pre-school. I really love the scribble paper and the green moasic – so perfect for a boy photo.
I struggled a bit with this layout and I’m not overy happy with the result but the golden paper clips paper is seriously cute. The story is the most important part of this layout and I’ve got that in there so I’m ok with it.
and my final layout tells the story of new school friends. I finished up the papers I had from Darcy and also used up a number of leftover alpha stickers – the numbers, across the bottom. I always end up with the numbers left so I figured this puts them to good use!
Go have a look at Darcy, the papers are really cute but arent overly themed so they are easy to work with.
Happy scrapping!
