Sand Castle Love | Bea Valint Sketchbook | Emma Kate

Hello magpies, I’m so very excited to be sharing my first project with you all as part of the Hey Little Magpie Design Team, & I am kicking off with a 12×12 layout using Bea Valint’s ‘Sketchbook’ collection. My page began by removing the centre section of the Heart Song patterned paper therefore creating a frame.

I then backed the frame onto the So Special patterned paper using foam tape creating a lovely contrast between the blue & pink. I tucked my photo in the bottom right-hand corner slightly behind the frame & added fussy cut flowers from the A Fresh Start patterned paper around its edge.

To balance out my photo I added a tag from the A Great Day patterned paper in the top left hand corner, I snipped part of the string-looking image that intertwines with the frame so that I could make it look like the tag had been threaded on. The tag also made a great spot for my journalling.

To finish I added my alphabet thickers title, some fussy cut butterflies & a sprinkling of sequins. The Sketchbook collection from Bea Valint is truly beautiful, a great addition to any scrapbooking stash.
