Sally Ann | Doodlebug | Seaside Summer

Hello magpies, thankyou for joining me today for my first layout of September.

I decided to go with the new Doodlebug Seaside Summer collection, it was just to cute to pass by.

I’ve never been one for banners really, but ever since joining in with a sketch group on facebook have found myself being pushed out of my comfort zone.

I started off cutting 2 banners one smaller then the other in 2 of the 12×12 papers and distressed the edges.

I popped the tips of the banners up onto foam pads and layerd the smaller banner on top of the larger one to the right.

I added a large lighthouse to the right hand side and added my photo on top with no layers.

Adding the palm tree to the left over lapping the photo, 2 of those cute crabs and a little seagull. Underneath the banner tip i added the circle seagull and

beachball using foam pads for dimension.

I added the sun to the top left of my layout, then finished off with some of the enamel pieces and 2 of the

word phrase banners underneath my photo. I then added my title which i fussy cut to seperate finishing with a few words of journalling.

It just shows how you dont need to go over the top to create a layout, sometimes simple is just enough.
