Safe Travels – Simple Stories – Part Two | Amy Kattenbelt
Hello Magpies, Amy here sharing some more layouts using the Simple Stories – Safe Travels collection. In my previous blog post (Part One), which I shared a few weeks ago I explained that I am creating a 12×12 album to document our ‘Visit all the Counties in the UK’ family challenge. Today I am sharing more layouts for that album. This time it is County Number 3, Shropshire. As before I have created two 12×12 layouts and 2 pocket page spreads.
Wander Back Through Time
In the layout I used 4 photos that I took at the Victorian Town Museum. Multi photo layouts are always a great way to document many memories of a single event or in this case, a day trip.
I created the title using the ‘Wander’ foam sticker and then stickers from the Simple Stories Sticker Book. The blue tile letter stickers were from the Simple Stories Color Vibe Alpha Sticker book.
I had great fun scattering all the little stickers around the title. My photos take up the majority of the right hand side. I popped one of the smaller photos up with foam tape to add some dimension. I think the colours in the collection work perfectly with my photos and I am really happy with the layout.
Explore Ironbridge
My next layout uses two square photos that I took of Ironbridge. I love the green patterned paper with daisies on. It could be used with some many themes of photos.
Again, I built my title up using a word foam thicker, in this case ‘Explore’, and the smaller alpha stickers. I also added the foam arrows from the same pack.
I framed each of my photos with patterned paper from the 6×8 pad and then decorated them with a tab sticker and little puffy stickers.
Pocket page #1
Here is the front of the pocket page spread. I I had lots of fun creating this style of layout. It comes together so quickly as you can just work on one pocket at a time. I followed the same general layout as my last pocket page. So I created a title 6×4 pocket, a few larger photos with embellished areas. The postcard that we sent is in the lower right corner.
Pocket Page #2
Here is the back side of the pocket page spread. I love that the reverse side of the postcard remains visible. I added a whole loads of journalling to remember the day, along with lots more photos. I also included our tickets from the day too.
I hope you like these layouts. Thank you for coming to take a closer look. I would love to see your travel themed layouts over on our Facebook group! Take Care and Stay Safe,
