Safe Travels Mini Book – Simple Stories | Sheena Rowlands

Hi there Magpies, Sheena here again x

Today I’m sharing something a little different, at least for me. When I received the Safe Travels collection I was really taken with the Tag paper and decided I wanted to use it to make a tag mini book which is not something I normally do so I gathered these supplies together that I wanted to use.

Lets Go – Italy.

The theory behind this album was to document our love of Italy & to record the places in Italy we have visited. So my first task was to track down our trips and find one or two photos from each place to add in the mini book. This has certainly made me feel very sentimental about travelling. I printed the photos I chose either portrait and square with a white border.

I cut the Tag paper into all the sections – 15 in total. I’ve used 14 so far in this mini book but plan to add more tags in the future and now have another sheet of the Tag paper for when we can travel again. I made hole reinforcers using a circular punch and added to both sides of each tag first before decorating.

I jotted down the order for the photos and starting with the earliest and using alpha stickers from the Safe Travels sticker book, chipboard, decorative brads and foam stickers. I was surprised how much I could add to each tag despite their size.

I made smaller tags to add the year onto, to help remember when we went where. I left some of the tags photo free in-between.

Here is a flip through video of this mini book.

I hope this mini book has inspired you to try something different & to check out this great travel range. We would love for you to share with us your creations over in our Fb group.

Till next time x
