Remembering happy travels with Vicki Boutin’s Let’s Wander | Julie Taylor
Hi Magpies, Julie back with you today sharing a layout about remembering happy times doing a spot of travelling. I know we can’t all do that at the moment (must stay in & stay safe) but that doesn’t stop us routing through our photos & remembering the holidays we took & planning new trips for when the world gets back to normal. This collection, Let’s Wander, from Vicki Boutin, is just perfect for this, full of travel themed ephemera to transport you anywhere, home or abroad!!!
NYC Moment Unique
This layout is about a trip I took to NYC with some of my scrappy friends. We had a fabulous time & it never gets old scrapping the photos from there.
I started with a base of white cardstock & using the street map stencil, in the Wander stencil set, I inked a column up the centre in 3 different colours & then drew around the inked areas.
I then cut apart the Picture Perfect paper & chosing certain ones, that went with my photos, layered in 2 columns down both sides.
I added an eyelet to the top of both columns & punched holes in each piece so I could thread some twine through.
I fussy cut the little sayings off the Fly Away With Me paper & added an eyelet to each of these & also threaded through those. I added one of the tag envelope pieces, out the die cut tags & journalling pieces, to add my 2nd photo & ephemera cluster into. These are in pack that would make a small mini book, if used all together, but perfect for adding to your pages like I have.
I have then tucked in some of the bits & pieces of ephemera available with this collection & believe me there’s loads!!! perfect for me as I LOVE my ephemera.
I finished my page by adding the title up the middle, over the stencilling. I die cut the Moment Unique & used the fabulous Printed Chipboard Alphabet Thickers for the NYC bit, adding some inks to customise them.
Thanks for joining me today & I’ll be back, later in the month, showing you a none travel layout with this very versatile collection.
