I’ve used Simple Stories For The Record collection for my grid style layout, adding in all the fab little bits & pieces that come in their ephemera packs along with a few bits out the embellishment kits.

Cyprus has long been known as the “Island of Cats,” a title that traces back to ancient times when cats were brought to control snakes in monasteries. Today, they’re everywhere — lounging on sun-warmed car roofs, guarding fishing boats, and weaving between café chairs in search of a snack or a scratch behind the ear. My daughter loves socialising with these friendly cats when we visit Cyprus.

Travelers often carry a little bag of kibble or some leftovers from lunch. A quick rustle of the bag, and within seconds, a few curious faces appear — shy at first, then bold and purring. Local volunteers and charities work tirelessly to feed, neuter, and care for them, but an extra helping hand (and heart) always makes a difference. My daughter goes shopping, before we go, to purchase cat treats & stocks up, while there, to feed all the ones that come out for food & a stroke.

Before leaving Cyprus, it’s hard not to feel a tug at your heart. Feeding the cats isn’t just about food — it’s about connection. So next time you wander through the sunlit lanes, carry a little kindness in your pocket. You never know whose purr might thank you for it.
