Puerto Cabopino – Cocoa Vanilla – These Days 2 – Wendy Meffan
Hey Magpies! It’s Wendy back on the blog again sharing two more layouts using the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla These Days Collection. I have loved the soft pastel colours of this collection and it has been perfect for my Summer layouts.
In the collection I really loved the 12×12 Wall of Fame paper but was struggling to know how to use it!. Initially I decided to cut out the frames, distress their edges and then I gutted them and decided to back fill them with other papers from the collection. I raised the frames on sticky fixers. I chose the 12×12 Daybreak paper as the backgrounds the feint watercolour look around the edge highlighted the frames. I chose the 12×12 Home Grown paper and cut a large oblong and attached it to the left of side the background paper. I matted the photo, distressed the edges and attached it down the right and side of the oblong piece. I then spent time arranging each of the frames around the page until I was happy with their positions.
I then added floral ephemera and puffy stickers around each of the frames.
I added a title using the mini puffy alpha stickers, and a wood epoxy button.
LAYOUT 2 -Home is Wherever I’m with You
I did not have much of the collection left by this point, but hadn’t used the spotted 12×12 Take Flight paper so decide to cut it in half and use it as the background. I mounted in on 12×12 white card stock a third of the way down.
I then cut two one inch strips from the of paper from the Home Grown paper and then punched a floral border along them, I tucked them under the top and bottom edges of the piece across the page.
I chose one of the pocket cards which had home is wherever I’m with You and distressed the edges and mounted it on author patterned ephemera card. I punched a tab and stapled it to the side and then made a cluster of floral ephemera and puffy stickers to the side.
Then I used one of the frames from the Wall of Fame paper and cut it in half and added it above and below the background strip. Again I added some puffy stickers as embellishments to the pieces.
I matted the photo and distressed the edges and then added another floral cluster to the left side of the photo, along with a wood epoxy button.
I added a few puffy hearts and some puffy floral stickers around the layout from the puffy sticker sheet.
Finally I added a 1 cm border strip to the top and bottom of the layout and used the Puffy alphabet stickers for a title along the bottom of the layout.
I hope you feel inspired by these layouts using this collection and might be tempted by it, it is easy to use and all coordinates so well. Don’t forget to post your layouts on the Hey Little Magpie Chat and Inspiration page as we love to see your creativity.
Until next time …. Happy Scrapping!
