Playing with Pink Fresh Studio Stamps

Hi Everyone, hope that the last month has treated you well and that you are ready for the month of June.  The weather in my part of the world is yet to show signs of summer, but I am holding out hope for the sun and a chance to use all the beautiful summer themed papers in my stash.
I also had the realisation this month that we are getting to the half way point of the year and my yearly album is falling behind.  I am not too worried about this, but I have decided to make an effort to finish up on some pocket pages that are half started.  I also am still making a conscious effort to use my stash and stretch my supplies.  So this month I have decided to focus on using stamps.
I have some of the new stamps from Pinkfresh Studio and these are just perfect for pocket pages and making little embellishments to add to pages.  I also have a couple of the new Kelly Purkey stamps that have recently been added to the shop.  I have filmed a video and shared it over on my YouTube channel of the supplies I picked out to use this month.
The stamps I used were:
Pinkfresh Studio-  Bibliophile
Pinkfresh Studio –  Dear Self
Pinkfresh Studio –  Sweet Moments
Pinkfresh Studio – These Days
Kelly Purkey for Hero Arts – Coffee & Donuts
Kelly Purkey for Hero Arts – New Adventures
I don’t have lots of different inks in my stash but I have a couple that I always turn to, black ink is a must, but my neon pink I brought for the shop a couple of years ago is still a favourite and works great with so many different papers/cardstocks.
I started off creating some cards to add to my pocket page stash.  I kept theses simple as I know after I add photos and journaling that I normally add some more embellishments too.
I used the Kraft Basic Project Life 4×6 cards as my base and they take the inks so well.  I also love how with kraft the colours pop even more.  It’s the first time I have brought these blank cards and I am not sure why it has taken me so long, they are great.
Of course when I saw these book themed stamps in the shop, I knew they had to be mine, I am a book lover and I use my pocket pages to document my thoughts and reviews of books, so this could not be more perfect.
I use a lot of Washi Tape in my pocket pages and it adds great decoration, but not a lot of depth.  There is loads of fab ones in the shop right now.
I also use the stamps and some of my punches with some scraps to make some embellishments and labels to add on to pocket cards and photos.  These came together and will be great bases for adding detail to pages.  Also small bits like this are great to do when you are in the mood to be crafty but maybe not wanting to do a whole page, or you have limited time.
I also used the stamp set to stamp out a series of labels to add to my stash too, I love the label shapes on the Pinkfresh Studio These Days stamp set.  I did have to do some fussy cutting but love how they came out.
I did complete/finish off two pocket page spreads to go in my album and I am super happy how these came out, and also how quickly they came together.
I could not go for a month without sharing a 12×12 scrapbook page with you, and I also knew I wanted to use some more of the cute label stamps.
I used some of the Crate Paper Open Book Project Life cards in my stash to stamp out the small label on using black ink and then set about the task of fussy cutting.  I also used a few scraps on my desk from Pink Paislee C’est La Vie.  I then arranged them on a neutral woodgrain paper from my stash (Simple Stories Summer Vibes) and stuck them down to create a background.
This page uses lots of bits and pieces from my stash, and my die cuts box which is overflowing at the moment.  Some of these pieces come from Project Life Value kits available in the shop.  I have done my normal type of clustering around the photos and love how the gold makes everything pop.
As this page is about my dad, I wanted to give it a bit of a masculine feel, however I don’t worry about not using flowers and things on male pages, I mounted the page on some of my favourite cardstock.  This is the American Crafts Woodgrain embossed cardstock, and it is just beautiful and adds a subtle detail to the page.
I would say this was a labor intensive way of creating a background, but it was a great way to use up some Project Life cards and scraps in my stash and I think this is something I will do again.  I also have lots of spare labels to use in other projects.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my efforts this month to use stamps to create some projects and to fill some gaps in my album.  The quality of the stamps I used was brilliant, and I can see those making appearances in lots of future projects.
I hope you have a wonderful, hopefully sunny, June and create some special memories to documents on pretty papers.
