Playing with All the Good Things to get my mojo back
Hi everyone, and a belated Happy New Year, I missed my January post as I was struggling with the horrid flu that was going around. It has taken me a while to get my scrapping mojo back but pulling out the Vicki Boutin All the Good Things collection bits defiantly helped.
I am on a mission to finish my 2015 USA trip albums, I have shared lots of pages with you on the blog in the last 18 months, and really need to get going with the albums. As you will know if you have followed my blog posts, I have a lot of photos that I want to include and I enjoy doing multiple photo layouts. I have a number of my own sketches/previous layouts that I return to again and again to feature multiple photo. All my photos are printed 4×6 for this trip for ease of scrapping.
My first page is one of my favourite layouts, and it features in this album a lot. I choose 3 of the many, many photos I took at the Grand Canyon to scrap.
I fussy cut some of the lovely flowers from the Picked For You paper, the tones on the flowers are beautiful and work with the photos brilliantly. I added some Nuvo Drops to some of the flowers to add a bit of dimension. I used a cut a part card from the Crate Paper Good Vibes as part of my title as I love the pun.
My second page features some photos I find a bit challenging to scrap, those taken at night, I also had a variety of aspects too that I wanted to feature.
The photo cluster is a design I use a lot when I combine portrait and landscape photos, and it leave a great space for journalling and or embellishment. This is also a good style if you want to use a busy background paper that would not allow for clear reading of journalling.
My finial page I want to share with you includes four photos that I cropped down from 4×6 slightly to allow for space around to add some embellishments. I have lots of photos to scrap in this album that were taken as a series to tell a story or document an event.
I used several pieces from the All the Good Things Die Cut pack on this page, and the ‘Eat Well Travel Often’ works great to document this series of photos.
I used a sticker from the collection that is plain and added some water colour to this and the die cuts, this helps to tone them in with the colours in the background. I also used the arrows from the beautiful glitter foam Thickers within my cluster. I love this Thicker pack and it will be appearing on many pages within this album.
These pages have really spurned me on to finish these sections of the album, I am will be back to share more pages with you soon. Have a brilliant February.
