Pinkfresh Studios | The Best Day Part 2 | Giselle Homer
Hello again Magpies,
Giselle here with a 2nd layout using Pinkfresh Studio’s the Best Day. I’m not usually drawn to pastel colours but this collection is just so beautiful, I couldn’t resist, especially as I had this photo of my girls to scrapbook!
I began by trimming a piece of vanilla cardstock to 11″ x 11″ & distressed the edges. Then, using a brown fine line marker, I drew 2 lines along all four sides. I glued the cardstock to a piece of Grateful Heart patterned paper & this formed the base of my layout.
Recently Hey Little Magpie has ventured into the world of cutfiles & I couldn’t be happier – I love cutfiles! They’re so versatile & can be used as the main element of your layout or as an extra embellishment on your design. As this is a circular cutfile, I decided to back the main part with the Love You Always patterned paper & I back-filled the flower & leaves in plain colours. Then I glued it into place in the centre of my base page & added some fussy cut leaves to enhance the flower.
Another new product in the shop are 3D acrylic embellishments, so I jumped at the chance to use one for my title! As it was white I placed it on the same yellow paper as the flower, added a word phrase below it & some fussy cut navy blue leaves to match the colour in the photo.
I repeated the navy leaves on the right corner of my photo, with the addition of a chipboard flair.
Finally, I added some Nuvo Drops around the outside of the circle for added texture.
I hope you get some scrapping time & are encouraged to check out the new products in the shop.
Until next month, happy scrapping everyone!
