Pinkfresh Studios Spring Vibes | Part Three | Giselle Homer

Hello again Magpies,

Here is my third & last layout using Pinkfresh Studios Spring Vibes.

 

THE SUNNIEST DAY

For this layout I decided to base my design on a cutfile from Amelia Creates which I cut in both white cardstock & a sheet of Soak It Up,  a paper with a lovely ombre effect.

 

Before gluing it in place I sponged some yellow ink onto the background, following the shape of the cutfile. I also added some paint splatters using white acrylic gesso.

 

Then I die cut some leaves & arranged them on the page, highlighting them with Bottle Green Nuvo Drops. I also drew a thin border on the dark yellow triangles & added some waxed thread to the leaves.

 

The photo was backed with three colours & I distressed the edges before placing it on the left of centre. Using one of the labels from the collection, I added my journalling, with a cardstock sticker & more thread below the photo on the left.

 

The title came from the pack of Title Ephemera which I placed across the middle of the cutfile.  The other words were trimmed from the Take Your Time paper which has lots of phrase choices.
