Hello again Magpies,

Today I’m sharing my second layout using Pinkfresh Studio’s ‘Life Right Now’ collection. Despite it being November I created a summer layout as this collection is jam packed with bright summery colours & embellishments!

 

FIRST BIRTHDAY

 

I began by stamping some sunbursts in the centre of the page & added a few paint sprinkles in the same colour.

 

The photo is backed in two colours & glued in the centre of the page. I used a small sticker alphabet from my own stash to place the title vertically along the right edge of the photo.

 

Then I cut some patterned paper tags in different shapes & distressed the edges, which I then layered under the photo.  In this collection there’s a patterned paper called Social Hour which has little phrases that are easy to cut out  & use as embellishments. I placed a couple across the tags on the left. Then I used one length of  thread to go through all the tags.

 

To create another element on the page, I cut three more smaller tags & added them to the top left of the page with another phrase & some more thread.

Finally, I drew a double line around the layout using a grey fine liner pen to make a frame. Have a look at this collection in the shop, it’s perfect for layouts that remind you of summer!
