Pinkfresh Studios | Happy Blooms | Giselle Homer
Hello again Magpies,
It’s July, the sun should be shining & I have some summer layouts to show you using the Happy Bloom collection from Pinkfresh Studios.
MEMORIES TOGETHER
I began this layout by stencilling through a cutfile that I’d enlarged to fit a 12″ x 12″ sheet of cardstock. I love the effect you can get by stencilling darker & lighter patches, then I added a few splatters of gold paint.
Once my base it had dried, I worked out where to place my photo & backed it with lots of layers, distressing most of the edges.
Then I fussy cut some leaf sprigs to embellish the photo with a flower cluster & a small butterfly.
I added a phrase die cut for the title, which I made into a tag, gluing the ends of my twine on the underside of the base. Some die cut flags and a fussy cut flower were added to the right of the photo.
I added some Nuvo Drops around the photo with a couple of puffy stickers & wrote my journalling below the title to finish off the layout.
HAPPINESS IS CAKE
This collection was a perfect choice for this photo especially with the cake themed ephemera included in the collection.
Once again, I used a stencil to make a pattern across the middle of the base & splattered some green paint over it.
I cut a scalloped trim to place across the top of the page, with a second strip of blue checked paper beneath it.
I backed my photo with a tag & a couple of patterned papers, which I placed in the centre of the layout. A cute puffy bumblebee & a word puffy went onto the top right corner.
The last things to be added were some die cut pieces, some of which I raised using foam dots. My title was made using the alphabet from the collection.
I’ll be back later in the month with two more summer layouts using this lovely collection.
Until then, happy scrapping everyone!
