Pinkfresh Studios – Everyday Musings

Hello again Magpies, this month I’m using one of my favourite manufacturers – Pinkfresh Studios – I really like the graphic and understated style that they use. And this collection, Everyday Musings, is just perfect for spring themed layouts or indeed, any other happy times that you want to document as it uses both bright and muted colour ways. It has a great choice of embellishments including a set of 24 frames in lots of colours and sizes, pretty puffy stickers and phrase stickers.
My first layout uses 3 of the frames which I used to mount 3 small photos. I stencilled some random shapes with ‘Cracked Pistachio’ and ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ Distress Oxide on the base cardstock first, then added the frames horizontally along the lower edge of the page. I left a space for the title which is one of the phrase stickers.

After that I added a tag which I cut from the pale green patterned paper and another frame which I also cut and backed with a paper that shows a little phrase.

Next I just added lots of die cuts, stickers, labels, enamel dots and puffy stickers below the photos.

Finally I added some rows of Washi tape from my stash to give the layout a little texture and because the colours were a good match to the collection!

My second layout its completely different! I wanted to use the pretty floral paper called ‘Good Times’ which I cut into a triangle and glued to the right side of some dark blue cardstock. This formed the basis of my design.

I double mounted my photo using pale green and pale pink paper to make it stand out on the dark cardstock. Then I added some bright Washi Tape to the edges of the paper triangle and added the photo over the middle point, so that it was in the lower centre of the page.

Then I added a cluster of embellishments, including some enamel dots and hearts, to the left of the photo. I wrote my journalling on a tag and added that below the cluster. I found the chipboard word in my stash to use as a title as I didn’t have a suitable one in the collection. But, the phrase sticker I added below the photo was very appropriate! I added a golden leaf die cut file to soften the upper edge of the triangle, the gold didn’t photograph well but it’s shiny in real life! I put a couple of puffy stickers on the lower edge below my phrase sticker.

So that’s it for now, more from me and Pinkfresh Studios later in the month!
Happy scrapping everyone,
