Pinkfresh Studios Christmas Wishes

The minute I saw the Christmas Wishes Collection from Pinkfresh Studio I fell in love. Everything about it was so lovely – the colours , the graphic style, the illustrations ( no co-incidence that they are drawn by one of my favourite illustrators Lizzie Mackay ) and so I was counting the days until it arrived in stock.
The acetate countdown cards just lent themselves to an advent calendar project. As we’re trying to steer clear of chocolate until Christmas ( fat chance ! ) I decided to make flavoured  teabag advent calendar instead so I used a mixture of glassine bags and clear acetate pockets which I made using We R Memory Keepers FUSE tool and a pack of their 12 x 12″ Clear Sheets . That way you can make any size pocket you want. This tool is a must have in my collection.
With the die cuts , stickers and 6″ x 6″ papers, I was spoilt for choice and they were easy to layer with foam dots to give dimension to the outside of the pockets.
 

 
Using The Christmas Wishes collection was a real joy. This American Crafts red glitter bow looks as if it could have been made from Dorothy’s original shoes !
 

 
Using Staz-on , I was able to stamp directly onto the clear plastic pockets.

Now all we have to do is wait patiently for the 1st December.
 
I rarely make cards so I decided to have a go using the leftovers. The colour combination of white, grey and aqua is sublime  – here’s my attempt and I really like the result.
