Pinkfresh Studio – The Best Day | Jo Boland
Hey, I’m back with a second batch of layouts using the Pinkfresh Studio The Best Day collection. The collection is really versatile, there’s a range of topics that can be covered by it.
Scrapbook layout #1 – Together
Each autumn I seem to make a layout about Pumpkin Spiced Latte. This year my 16 year old son decided to try the Pumpkin Spiced Frappuccino. So we enjoyed some time together after school, he with his frappuccino and me with my Pumpkin Spiced Latte.
The background paper is Welcome Home, it’s great that it’s already got a border so this layout came together really quick. I pulled out pieces from the collection which were orange or green, to go with the photo, plus light teal. Several of the pieces are cut from other papers in the collection.
I cut the orange and light teal journaling cards from the Harvest Market paper (the inner section that I cut out from the layout in the last post). The orange word strip Autumn, green Together, green number 2 ticket and the orange ticket are from the paper Together is My Fave. You can just see an orange chipboard flair with the word hello popping out from the top of the photo. The word strips are cut from a paper called Happy Place which is actually from another Pinkfresh Studio collection called Happy Blooms. I love word strips. I raised these on foam pads to make them stand out and have used some more in my second layout.
The green Little Moments banner is from the Die-cut Ephemera pack, as are the little cups. I backed my photo with a piece of Loved This Day paper and the green tag is from the Journaling Bits pack.
I added a few ink splatters of Distress Oxide in Abandoned Coral before sticking anything down. It’s not quite the right colour but was the best I had to hand, Spiced Marmalade would have been perfect for this layout. To finish the layout off I added a few orange and green enamel dots to the layout.
Scrapbook layout #2 – Moving Away To Uni
This layout documents my eldest son moving into university accommodation which is another big milestone in his and our lives.
The border is from the paper Hello Fall (which I’d cut away when making one of the layouts in my last post). Adhered on top is the paper Life’s a Ride which I trimmed to 11 1/4″ square. I backed the photo with the Loved This Day paper, like in the layout above, but using the other side.
I used three cardstock stickers, the number 1 ticket and the word strips Remember and Today. The journaling tag is from the journaling pack. The die-cut camera and hearts are from the die-cut ephemera pack. The sentiment wreath is from the Floral Ephemera pack and the floral banner with the hearts was cut from the Together is my Fave paper. I’ve used three Chipboard Flairs dotted around the main photo cluster, First Day, New Home and a heart.
The title is made up from both the Mini Puffy Alphabet Stickers and the Puffy Alphabet Stickers. Again you can see that I’ve used some word strips cut from the Happy Blooms – Happy Place paper. The colours go really well with the coloured dots on the main paper! And to finish the layout I added some dark blue enamel dots.
Well that’s it from me for this month. I’ll be back in October with some inspiration projects using the Paige Evans – Bungalow Lane collection.
