Pinkfresh Studio – Some Days | Sheena Rowlands

Hi there Magpies, Sheena here again x

For this post I’m creating with another lovely Pinkfresh Studio collection – Some Days. If you haven’t spotted this one in the shop then I recommend you check it out.

My first layout all started with a memory sparked by the tiny tea cups in the Some Days  ephemera pack. The photo of my Son & I was taken on VE day when we had a garden party & were drinking gin from our wedding china as it was also my wedding anniversary!!

Tea for Two.

Using the Fresh flowers patterned paper as my base I cut some thick white cardstock down to leave a border. Using a few shades of acrylic paint I painted an ombre type square on the cardstock. When this was dry I distressed the edge and attached this to the gutted background paper.

I matted my photo on a couple of papers from the 6×6 pad. Using mainly the Some days Elements packI scatted both flowers and fruits down the page around my photo till I was happy with how they looked. Some of these were attached with foam pads to add depth.

I just had to add in the tea cups, so they were adhered with foam pads to a tag before adding. To finish I added enamel dots to most of the flowers, a puffy sticker title and a little journalling. If you would like to watch the process, there is a youtube video for this layout.

For my next layout I focused on the letter and number elements and thought they would be perfect for a school layout.

1978.

As I was making a school layout I thought it would be appropriate to make the layout A4. Using the Some Days – One More Cup patterned paper as the base I added distressed strips of both sides of the Turning Circles patterned paper to the right hand side plus the days of the week tabs from the ephemera pack.

I mounted the school photo on various papers from the 6×6 paper pad and the packaging from the alpha punched like a notebook. Once the photo was attached, stickers, die cuts and labels were added above and below it. My title was cut from the Fresh Flowers b side from the 6×6 pad highlighting the year the photo was taken. The layout was finished with chipboard flair and cardstock stickers.

I hope these layouts have given you some inspiration to check out this lovely Pinkfresh Studio – Some Days collection.

Till next time x
