PinkFresh Studio – Keeping it Real – Emilie Chamel
Hi everybody, Emilie here with two brand-new projects! Have you checked out the Keeping it Real collection by PinkFresh Studio? The colours are so sunny that it puts me in the food for the warmer weather!
PERFECTLY GOOD
Keeping it Real by PinkFresh studio is a different collection from what we see usually for sure! The B-side of the Big-mood paper is gorgeous. I cut out all the colourful stripes and then glue them back in the same order on a sheet of white cardstock. A single line on glue in the middle of each stripe is enough to secure them. I then ran the sheet of paper down my sewing machine, stitching each edge of each stripe. Once done, I ruffled the edges to lift them up and create an awesome texture.
Next step, I placed my photographs and then decorated around them with the Floral Ephemeras.
Puffy stickers and the second pack of Ephemeras are perfect to add extra dimension.
Layering the different elements cerate depth and enough separation between the photographs without breaking the continuity.
I glued the Puffy phrase stickers onto some paper to create my title. This helps my title stand-out without making it too chunky.
I finished off by adding some of the Cardstock Stickers to add some more straight lines again which helps my clustering of photographs and embellishment merge with the background.
KEEP IT REAL
For this layout I wanted to focus on two of the greener papers: A little chaos and Reality check.
A normal design rule would be to use the darker paper on the bottom however in this instance it is a rule that can be broken.
The darker paper at the top creates the perfect base for my photo and embellishments. I mounted the photograph on the yellow side of Daily Grind. This helps it to stand out. I then layered Floral Ephemeras and the basic Ephemeras around my photograph.
The lighter bottom allowed me to create a tone-on-tone mixed media background. This helps create a visual base for the elements I wanted to add in order to create more interest on my layout. The puffy stickers and cardstock stickers were a great addition.
Once again I mounted the Puffy phrase stickers onto some paper to create my title. This is a technique I love to use. Lastly, a few drops of Nuvo Drops for added details.
Hopefully these two projects gave you a lot of inspiration on how to use this stunning collection!
Lots of love xx
