Pinkfresh Studio | Happy Blooms | Part 2 | Giselle Homer
Hello again Magpies,
I’m back to share two new layouts using the Happy Blooms collection from Pinkfresh Studio. If you’re looking for a fresh & bright collection to document your summer fun, this would be perfect! It has lots of flowers, stickers and so many pretty embellishments. I have lots left over after making four layouts!
Playmates
For my first layout I tore strips from two patterned papers to place across the top. I highlighted one edge with some yellow translucent Nuvo Drops. After that, I decided to build the layout by placing the photo and embellishments in a decreasing shape down the page.
I added some pale green paint to the background using the packaging method, plus some little splatters.

Then I drew stripy circles with a fine tipped green pen over the painted area.

My photo was layered with 3 papers and I placed a larger patterned piece behind the photo with some flower die cuts and the ‘Home’ die cut.

Then I placed more lovely embellishments to the right of the photo and added my journalling. I used the green alphabet from the collection to make my title. The bright colour contrasts well against the paler background.

Treasure These Memories
Now, my other layout for this month is a dream if you like fussy cutting. I love it, it’s very therapeutic and I can while away a few happy hours like that, especially with some good music playing in the background!
Although this looks like a busy layout, it’s mostly made using just one sheet of paper. I fussy cut the middle out completely leaving a wide flowery border for my design. If you have this paper, a layout can come together quite quickly without the need for lots of extra embellishments.

I replaced the middle with white cardstock and added a little paint to it. I raised the border with sticky foam pads for extra interest.

Then it was simply a case of layering my photo with patterned paper and placing it on the white cardstock. I used a journalling card as a base for some word stickers, plus a die cut phrase which I used as a title.

This collection was a joy to use and I’m sure I’ll make more layouts and some greeting cards with it.
So, until next time, happy scrapping everyone.
