Pink Paislee Again & Again Part 2 | Amy Kattenbelt

Hello Magpies, Amy here with another three layouts that I created using the Again & Again collection by Pink Paislee. As you can see by the theme of these layouts, its a super versatile collection. I have used the pinks and florals for a layout featuring a photo of myself as a little girl, but i have also used, the stamp set and greens in the collection on a layout of my son winning the ‘man of the match’ cup.

Layout 4 – Beautiful

I thought the pinks and greens really co-ordinated well with this photo. I went for a fairly bold vertical design. By using the neatural lined patterned paper for the largest stripe, it softens the effect, allowing attention to be drawn to the photo cluster.

I enjoy scrapping photos from my childhood, but can struggle with titles sometimes. In the end I went with the ‘beautiful’ sticker, then added my name in the puffy gold thickers that come in the collection. I tried to also create a subtle diagonal line by careful placement of the flower stickers and some splatters of Ali Edwards Acrylic Paint.

I fussy cut the tiny months from the cut apart paper, and these along with some enamel diamond shapes finished the layout nicely.

Layout 5 – Poets Walk

For this next layout I departed from my usual white cardstock background. Instead I worked with the dark wood grain block effect paper as my background. To lighten the layout I chose the rainbow paper with a light background to create a large pennant shape. I then used some twine to hang off lots of the tags and pennants from the collection.

I embellished these tags and pennants with stickers and enamel shapes. My photo was also ‘hung’ from the twine and added the title. The alphabet I used from the Elle’s Studio Hazel stickers. The fox motif in the collection is so cute!

I finished the layout with a splatting of gold ink, and the moth stickers flying up in a diagonal line.

Layout 6 – Man of the Match

This layout was inspired by this months Hey Little Magpie challenge to use your stamps. I set about using the stamp set from the collection with the masking technique. The circle mask i used is the same one I used on Layout 3 in my last blog post. I used black ink to stamp around the circle, overlapping some of the images onto the mask.

I layered up some of the larger epherma pieces behind the paper, and added some stickers and a puffy subtitle. The chevron arrow enamel dots that I added around the circle, help to emphasis the shape even more. I used the same Elle’s Studio stickers as the above layout to create my title. To create a border i added stripes of green patterened paper to the top and left edges of the page. This also helps balance out the photo cluster.

If you havent attempted the Hey Little Magpie challenge, head over to the Facebook group for more details. You could even try using this masking technique and entering your layout.

Thanks for reading and taking a closer look at my layouts.
