Pink Paislee Again & Again Part 1 | Amy Kattenbelt

Hello Magpies, Amy here sharing some layouts I have created with Pink Paislee’s Again & Again collection. It’s a very versatile collection, with muted primary colours and lots of choice of different embellishment packs.

Layout 1 – Magic

I knew that the first layout I wanted to create with this collection was to use the owl images along with this photo. I wanted to record the story in detail, so I have added lots of journaling to the page.

Using Ali Edwards acrylic paint and the stamp set from the Again & Again collection i tried a ‘new to me’ technique. By spreading a thin layer of the paint onto my glass mat with a spatula, you can use the paint instead of an ink pad. The blue and green paints are a perfect match to this collection. I love the slightly textured result.

I distressed a lot of the edges of the papers to add more texture to the layout. A fussy cut stripe of the navy scalloped patterned paper makes great borders. The page was finished off by a few clusters of enamel diamond shapes.

Layout 2 – Yoshi

There are some lovely floral patterned papers in this collection. I used three of them on this layout. By edging the paper rectangle pieces in black ink with a sponge applicator, they really stand out. 

I fussy cut the pink flowers out of one of the papers to use as embellishments. The alphabet is by Elle’s Studio, but matches the blues in the collection well. I finished the layout off with a doodled black border.

Layout 3 – Make your own Magic

For my third layout I decided to make use of all the circular elements in the die cut pack and the in the sticker packs. I started the layout by placing a circular mask (cut from scrap paper) and then splattering Ali Edwards acrylic paint on to the white cardstock.

I cut three different sizes of circles from lots of the papers, and placed them all around the edges of the white background so they over lapped. My photos were also cut into circles and I placed these along the inner circle, together with circular stickers. The title was created using a piece from the die cut ephemera pack.
