Pink Fresh Studio – Days of Splendor – Pt. 1 | Jackie Ashton

Hi crafters, Jackie here with my first blogpost for November, Wow It feels strange to say November already, this year as really flown by quickly and more so after the unsettling times we have all had.

I’m here today with two layouts using the lovely Pink Fresh Studio – Days of Splendor collection.  The colours in this collection are really autumnal so I love how the colours of the collection compliment the photographs.

Natural Beauty

I took this photograph on one of my recent visit to the Botanical Garden.  I just love the different shades and colours of all the foilage around one of the ponds.

To start the layout I added some stencil details to my white cardstock background to the lower right hand side of the cardstock.

Then I added the photographs to the left hand side.  As the photographs was A4 and nearly the length of the cardstock the layout came together quickly.

I die cut two tags from patterned papers from the 6×6 pad adding them over the stencil details and using some of the various leaves from the Ephemera pack, which I tucked them around the two tags, along with some Chipboard flair.

I used the lovely scripted puffy alphabet letters for my title, and also added a small cluster to the top left hand side of the photograph, using stickers, enamel dots and puffy stickers.

Everyday Magic

Documenting another woodland walk, but this time I decided to print my photographs smaller, they each measure 2 inch square.  My idea was to print out onto one sheet and then cut apart to form a film strip.  But when they came off the printer with a big space in the middle of the page, I decided to keep them as there are and add a stamped phase in the middle.

So I stamped onto some vellum and cut it out to fit exactly in the blank space.  I stapled the vellum to the photographs.

I love this patterned paper ‘Fall in Love’ with the lovely large print of leaves falling down one side, so using this as my background, and concentrated on the blank space on the righthand side.  Again using my stencil I added some details to the righthand side of the patterned paper.

Using various patterned papers from the 6×6 pad, I added them underneath my photograph, adding some 3D foam to the photograph to give it some dimension.

To finish the layout I added die cuts pieces from the ephemera pack, stickers, enamel dots and chipboard flair.

I love this collection as the colours are simply stunning to get your autumnal photographs documented.

Don’t forget to share your layouts over on our Facebook page, we would love to see them.

Till Next Time

Happy scrapping
