Pink Flamingo Cocktail – Pink Paislee – 5th and Monaco – Wendy Meffan
Hey Magpies! It’s Wendy here again sharing my final LO using this bright sunny collection 5th and Monaco from Pink Paislee. I have really loved the brightness of this collection and have almost exhausted my stash of it with all my different LO!
During Lockdown my friend created a pink flamingo cocktail for me, which we tried on a girls night in our flamingo bar at the end of the garden! I had to document it as another new experience in Lockdown. This collection is quite tropical and has lovely ferns, exotic birds and bright colours perfect for these photos.
I gutted 12×12 paper no 2 to make a bright pink border for my LO and then trimmed a piece of white card from 12×12 to 11.5×11.5. I added strips from the 12 x12 patterned paper sheets to make a cross formation in the bottom left hand corner, I trimmed the ends to look like ribbon tips. I matted two photos with papers from the 6×8 paper pad and distressed the edges. I then placed them along the horizontal strips.
I drew a cocktail glass and hand sewed in chain stitch around the outside of it. I added some of the gem stickers to be like bubbles in a cocktail and a cheeky flamingo embellishment.
I then added two clusters on the bottom corners of the photos, I used die cuts form the ephemera pack and also fussy cut some flowers from the 6×8 paper pad gold floral page.
I used the cut apart sheet to create a tab saying this moment which I tucked in the top of the right photo.
I used a flamingo die and cut two flamingoes from the pink paper in the 6×8 paper pad
I added extra embellishments around the photos from the card stock sticker sheet and a heart from the puffy stickers sheet
I then added the title from older thickers and sticker letters.
I enjoyed this LO coming together and think it has a tropical feel to it perfect to go with the photos.
If you haven’t used this collection do take a look, it is so bright and colourful and works with a variety of photos.
I hope you will feel inspired to create and I look forward to seeing your LO on the Facebook page.
Till next time…. happy scrapping!
