Picnic In The Park – Amy Tangerine | Amy Kattenbelt

Good Morning Magpies, Amy here sharing a few layouts I have created using the new Amy Tangerine collection called “Picnic in the Park“. The collection is both bright and fresh, containing lots of colours in a rainbow of hues. There are fun pops of black too. There are many embellishment options available, and I may have had to purchase many of them. The collection boasts a large versatile theme of icons such as the very versatile cameras and rainbows to flowers and hearts, birds and bows. Sprinkled amongst some of the embellishment are super pretty glittery sparkles.

Layout One – Smile

My first layout uses both sides of my favourite papers from the collection, Bright Lines. I love how the black text and rainbow diagonal stripes contrast each other. Because they are both such busy patterns I wanted to keep the rest of my layout fairly simple, yet also use a lot of pieces from the collection. I decided to create a paper pieced title in white card and backed each letter with a different patterned paper. For something totally different, and because I just couldn’t get my rectangular photo to work, I cut around the photo of my sons, the result really works well.

I created a little cluster of embellishments in the top left corner. This was done using some washi tape, an embossed puffy sticker from the collection and a black camera from one of the papers.

I added flowers, some of these were die cuts from the ephemera pack and others I fussy cut. These were tucked and layered under the photo and on top of the title.

Layout Two – George

Continuing the use of the rainbow striped paper with contracting black and white, this is my second layout I created.

The title was created using the Simple Stories Foam Alphabet, these ones are in teal, but there are lots of other colours that also match this collection beautifully.

I kept the layout clean and fresh by creating blocks of the patterned paper, and embellishing with the embossed puffy stickers and a gorgeous yellow bow.
