PFS Happy Blooms | Sheena Rowlands
Hi there Magpies, Sheena here again x
For my posts this month I will be creating with the gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio Happy Blooms. I really like the soft pastel tones of the papers. For these 2 layouts I’ve focused on using the 6×6 paper pad.
You Are My Sunshine.
My paper choices for this layout were all taken from the photo of my Mum & boys a good few years ago. I used the 12×12 Blossom patterned paper as my base and flicked through the 6×6 paper pad pulling out 3 papers I particularly liked.
Cutting the 3 papers into 2 triangles, I backed them with white cardstock to help them pop from the base paper. I added hand stitched details to each of the triangles with french knots, running stitches and back stitch in complimentary colours. They were attached to the base using foam pads.
I picked out die cuts and stickers with similar colour tones and created 3 clusters around the triangles and my photo before adding a few enamel dotes to finish.
Sunshine & Flowers.
For my second layout the 6×6 pad is certainly featured!
I cut strips of all the patterned paper approximately 1 – 2 inches wide. Some papers I used both sides of, then I distressed all the edges before laying them on to white cardstock in a rainbow like way, to suit the photo of my Daughter.
I adhered the papers down overlapping and stretching the ones behind the photo so that they show on either side. From the Happy Place 12×12 patterned paper I cut some of the sentiments from it and added them over the same coloured strips tucking a few flowers in as I went.
After adhering the photo foam with foam pads I added some hand embroidery to 6 of the strips in co ordinated coloured thread using various different stitches to add texture.
I hope these layouts provide some inspiration for using this lovely Pinkfresh Studio Happy Blooms range. Do share with us over on our Facebook group your latest creations as we love to see them.
Till next time x
