Perfectly Wonderful – Cocoa Vanilla Studio – Happy Days – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here sharing my third blog post using Cocoa Vanilla Studio Happy Days Collection. This Collection has been perfect for documenting my photos from Vietnam as the colours seem to match perfectly!

I chose to showcase more of the papers with this layout as well as using a lot of the floral ephemera. I used three 12×12 papers and tore vertical strips from each of them and attached them either side of the page in layers. I roughed the edges at the torn areas for a bit more dimension. Having chosen my photo I used the same papers to mat the photo and again leaving a torn edge at the side. I raised the photo on sticky fixers for more depth at the centre of the page. I used a stamp to give the impression of a note pad page to the left of the photo. Then I decided to embellish around the photo creating three different clusters. Above the photo I used a mix of floral ephemera and a gorgeous canvas flare badge (created by Sarah Davies) as well as the awesome tab from the 12×12 cut apart sheet.

To the bottom right of the photo I created  another cluster using the Die Cut ephemera, floral ephemera and a few pieces again from the 12×12 Feel Good cut apart sheet. I did trim around the white edge on the floral ephemera and also the die cut ephemera as I felt the white border was too wide.

Finally to the left of the photo I embellished again using the floral and Die Cut ephemera

To finish off each cluster I fussy cut some butterflies from the 12×12 Flutterby paper and added one to each cluster. I really love how this all came together and how perfect the embellishments were to go with the photo.
