Perfect Day – Amy Tangerine – Brave and Bold – Wendy Meffan

Hi everyone! I’m back again sharing two more layouts from Amy Tangerine’s Brave and Bold Collection. The layouts are again quite different and I have tried to showcase all the colours from this gorgeous collection. To create this layout I decided to try and colour match to the  flower arch in the photo, and I used combination of papers from the 6×8 paper pad and a couple of the 12×12 patterned papers.

I was going to make a pie chart of all the colours around the photo but then decided it looked more striking to have a half circle and double up the colours, I distressed all the edges and made pairs of the triangles. Before attaching them to the layout I added mixed media in the same colours underneath.

I matted the photo and added it centrally to the half circle of triangles. Then I felt the right side of the page was a bit empty so cut another triangle in red and added it on the opposite side.

I then embellished the layout using foam phrase stickers, 6×12 stickers, mini puffy stickers and some ephemera which  I cut  trimmed around the white edges to make them a bit thinner.

I then added splatters in corresponding colours around the layout.

I was determined to use the 12×12 Anenome paper as it was so gorgeous. I cut out some of the large flowers and stems and then chose the 12×12 Floral Fantasy paper B side as the background  paper. I decided I wanted to use the Brave and Bold piece I’d cut from the 12×12 True Story paper, I  then remembered I had a hexagon stencil , so stencilled using texture paste on the background.

Then I made a photo mat for the photo from elements off the 12×12 TakeNote paper . I fussy cut out the journal cards and tabs, distressed their edges and then added them on sticky fixers under the photo.

I added the large floral flowers and stems in opposite corners on the layout, I then added some floral ephemera and cut out some butterflies from the 6×8 paper pad.

Then I fussy cut the large butterfly for the 12×12 True Story cut apart sheet and added it above the photo, I covered the wording on it and added the Beautiful foam phrase sticker. Then I dotted some mini puffy hexagons around the layout.

i was pleased with how beautiful these layouts were and yet so different in colour. Do take a look at this collection as I think the more you see it the more you discover in it.

Please do post your layouts in the Hey Little Magpie Facebook Chat and Inspiration page as we love to see them.
