Pebbles – Peek-A-Boo You Boy – Part 1 | Amy Kattenbelt
Hello Magpies, my name is Amy and I am here with my very first Creative Team blog post. I have been working with the new Peek-A-Boo You Boy collection by Pebbles. I love the colour combination of the two blues along with the bright yellow, green and grey. Take a look at the first two scrapbook layouts I have created. Pebbles also have a Peek-A-Boo You Girl collection too.
Layout 1 – Sweet Little Baby
For my first layout I started with the ‘Adventure Calls You’ cut apart paper.
I selected my 3 favourite cut apart boxes and decided to create a grid style layout.
These are always so much fun to create and come together pretty quickly.
I left the bottom right grid area blank, with no patterned paper. Instead I placed my title here, using the Grey Puffy Phrase Thickers, which match both the Pebbles Peek-A-Boo Boy and Girl collection. They are a beautiful soft grey colour and a great way to add a little dimension to your layout. I also added two puffy hearts from Elle’s Studio because the colours matched perfectly.
My favourite part of creating this layout was choosing pieces from the die cut ephemera pack and the sticker sheet. I used these to embellish the different areas of the layout.
Layout 2 – Adorable
For my second layout using this collection I started by creating the background. I used a stencil called “Wonderland Frost” by Carta Bella with Distress Oxide in Fossilised Amber. Then I added clouds with a stamp from the Pebbles Peek-A-Boo You Boy Clear Stamp set in Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink.
Next I picked out the ‘sleepy’ themed ephemera pieces because these would match my photo well. I adore the saying on the oval die cut, with the moon and stars.
I cut the patterned papers up into blocks and edged them in grey ink because this adds contrast. Adding patterned paper to the top-left and bottom-right corners helps balance the page.
Come back later in the month to read my Part 2, where I will be sharing some layouts that show how versatile this collection is, the collection can be used for so much more than baby boy themed projects.
