Pebbles 'Merry Merry' Christmas Cards
This month I’ve been making Christmas cards with the Christmas collection by Pebbles called ‘Merry Merry‘. The papers and die cuts really lend themselves to making great Christmas cards without having to spend a lot of time on each card. Perfect if you like to hand make your Christmas cards like I do each year. The die cut ephemera pack has lots of greetings die-cuts included, in fact there’s ten, and then there’s lots of cute cardstock images too like Santa, a globe and the sweetest reindeer.
This set of cards are the simplest and yet each is different because of the die cut cardstock greeting. The card blanks are 4×4″ which means the size of the layered papers aren’t too big and therefore you can get several from one sheet of 12×12″ paper. The candy cane paper is the b-side ‘Peppermints’, the text is the b-side of the ‘Ho Ho Ho‘ paper. The candy cane paper is 3.5 x 3.5″, the text paper is 3 x 3″ and the cardstock die-cut has been mounted on foam tape to add dimension.
I used larger A6 card blanks for these two and swapped the candy stripe paper for a dotty paper, the b-side of ‘Poinsetta‘. The card on the left is like the first batch having a cardstock die-cut mounted on foam pads, love that globe. The card on the right has the lovely kraft script paper, the b-side of ‘Candy Stripes’ on the top portion of the card. The blue band is from the ‘Peppermints’ branding strip and the Ho Ho Ho 3×4″ card is from the cut a part paper ‘Ho Ho Ho‘. I then popped a die-cut cardstock Santa to the side on foam pads for the cute factor!
These two cards are again A6 size and feature either the dotty or striped papers are used before. The background cardstock is the ‘Gold Glittered Kraft’ and the greetings this time come from the ‘Ho Ho Ho’ cut a part paper.
I added a holly sticker to one and a cardstock candy cane die-cut to the other which I popped up on foam pads.
The next two have stickers from the 6×12″ Glitter Stickers pack, how cute are they? I’ve gone back to 4 x 4″ card blanks and dotty ‘Poinsetta’ paper for the base with the lovely white on kraft script paper ‘Candy Stripes’ on top.
The stickers have been popped up on foam tape to make them stand out and the sentiments have been cut from the text side of the ‘Ho Ho Ho’ paper.
There’s so many greetings / sentiments on the ‘Ho Ho Ho’ paper, it’s my absolute favourite in the collection, so versatile!
These cards also have glitter stickers as the toppers with that lovely text paper beneath and under that are two more colourful papers, forest paper ‘North Pole’ and cars paper ‘Over the River’.
My final card is a special card because I’ve extravagantly used the lovely kraft Thickers from the collection. I used the cute ‘North Pole’ paper as the base with a 3 x 4″ piece of ‘Ho Ho Ho’ paper (the reverse side of one of the cut out cards I wasn’t going to use) on top. The thickers were placed down the left side and a Santa glitter sticker is popped up on foam pads to the right of it. The holly sprig is also from the sticker pack.
I’ve made a baker’s dozen of cards from the Die-cut Ephemera pack, the Glitter Sticker Sheet and the Ho Ho Ho paper, plus additional papers and I have lots of elements left to make more cards. So if you’re thinking about making Christmas cards this year, I can really recommend this Pebbles ‘Merry Merry’ collection.
