Pebbles – Merry Little Christmas part 1 – Philippa McCray
Hi Magpies
I wouldn’t normally be thinking about Christmas just yet but this year we celebrated Christmas in July so I had some photos ready and waiting! My youngest daughter was home from Australia and on a red hot day I was cooking the bird with all the trimmings!
When I saw the Pebbles Inc. Merry Little Christmas collection I knew it would be perfect!
For my first layout I decided to use a photo of us being silly in the garden! I layered it on papers from the 6 x 6 pad and handcut some Christmas trees in different sizes from a variety of the papers in the pad. I love the little creatures and popped them amongst the trees!
I placed a strip of paper from a 12×12 sheet along the bottom of the page and balanced this with some torn strips across the top into which I inserted some festive red bobble trim from my stash. Once I was happy with the positioning of my photo I machine stitched down the centre of each tree and embellished with a liberal sprinkling of tiny gold stars, red enamel dots and gold splatters.
For my second layout I used some photos of our Christmas morning!
I used the manufacturing strips from sheets of the 12 x 12 papers and positioned three photos before embellishing the strips with pieces from the cardstock sticker sheet and die cut ephemera pieces pack.
I enjoy fussy cutting and cut the tiny flowers and pine cones from the Deck the Halls 12 x 12 paper. I clustered these and added tiny gold stars and lengths of gold thread.
I’ll be back later this month with a festive project using this lovely collection, until then Happy Scrapping!
