PARTY TIME ! – PAIGE EVANS – WONDERS COLLECTION – WENDY MEFFAN

Hey Magpies! It’s Wendy here and this month I’m using Paige Evans Wonders Collection. It is very vibrant and bright perfect for those photos as we move into better brighter days. I loved the mandala pages in the 6×8 paper pad and found some photos from an 80’s party which I knew would be perfect for this collection. I used paper 2 from the collection and tore two strips to make the edges of the LO.

I then started fussy cutting the manadalas from three of the papers in the 6×8 pad. The gold embossed ones were really stunning. I matted the photos on 3×4 journal cards from the 12×12 cut apart sheet paper no 24 and distressed the edges of the cards. I tucked in the mandalas around the photos and then started to embellish each one.

 

I fussy cut lots of butterflies from the 6×8 paper pad and positioned them along side the mandalas. I co ordinated the colours of them in each cluster to group all the same colours together. I then added chipboard stickers and stickers from the sticker book along with some puffy stickers.

On the image below you can see the puffy heart and mini mandala, the gold leaf from the sticker book and the fun and moment stickers from the sticker book.

Finally I added the alphabet thickers for the title .

 

LAYOUT 2 – WONDERFUL VENICE

This layout has a totally different feel to it and I really stuck with the blue and orange tones from the collection. This was based purely on my photo choice.

I loved paper no 22 and decided to cut out the blue and orange squares and then cut them into four triangles and arranged them in a pattern down the page. Then I machine sewed around them.

 

I used a stencil with some texture paste to add a different dimension the the LO, and  then picked all the icons ephemera which was orange and blue and layered the photo on top. I created two clusters either side of the photo from the  floral ephemera again choosing the blues and orange.

I fussy cut more butterflies and used a pre cut one from the ephemera .

Finally I added the Wonderful chipboard sticker as a title.

This is  a gorgeous collection and I will be back at the end of the month with two more layouts showing more of the collection.
