Paradise – Simple Stories – Just Beachy -Wendy Meffan

Here is my final layout using Simple Stories Just Beachy Collection for April. I have loved this collection so much and it has been perfect for my holiday photos.

I had a small amount of the striped 12×12 Take it Easy paper left over so I used it to border the sides of the layout. I used two whole sheets from the 6×8 paper pad as a large photo map. I matted the photos also on papers from the paper pad. Having positioned them, I started to build up the layout around them. I added the Come Sail Away tag  (from the 12×12 Tag sheet) to the right of the photo. This was so perfect for Cruising photos! I then fussy cut the camera from another tag and used it as an embellishment.

I created a mirrored effect diagonally across the the layout from top left to bottom right. I used two tags around each corner, and then embellished using the Floral Bits and Pieces.

I added the So Fun foam sticker at the top and threaded waxed string through the tags.

 

At the bottom right I journaled on one of the tags and again added waxed string through the tags.

If you look closed you will see pink and orange strips I created using the new Hey Little Magpie Note book and Torn paper Dies. I used the foam sticker Paradise word as a main title. I punched some tabs from the 6×8 paper pad and attached two on each side of the border strips.

I love how it all came together and caught the tropical vibe of where  we were.
